NEW YORK -- Longaberger announced the launch of Longaberger LIVE, a new live streaming platform providing viewers access to exclusive home décor and lifestyle products while interacting with hosts helping them shop.

Longaberger LIVE aims to enhance customers' experience by integrating live video shopping through a number of widely-known hosts.

The first-ever Longaberger LIVE event will kick off with Rachel Longaberger at 8 p.m. Monday, available online through Longaberger.com and continuing on a monthly basis.

Viewers will have access to one-night-only offers as well as a chance to win a $500 Longaberger gift card during the 30-minute premiere event.

The Longaberger event series partners with Bambuser, the interactive live video shopping provider, to use proprietary live streaming technology throughout the show.

Longaberger LIVE will roll out to the company's thousands of home and life stylists for use in the coming months. The company's purchases are all online instead of through home shows and sales are made through home and life stylists instead of consultants.

Robert D'Loren, chairman and chief executive officer of Xcel Brands, said he expects the live stream shows will improve monthly sales by 25% to 33%.

Xcel Brands, a media and consumer products company engaged in direct-to-consumer sales, acquired The Longaberger Company in 2019 and launched a new digital social-selling business model, offering new décor products.
