The Marshall County Sheriff's Department received a 911 call of the collision at 5:14 p.m. Police say 33-year-old Melia Byrer, of Bremen, was traveling east on U.S. 6 in her 2007 Ford Focus when she stopped or slowed to make a north turn at the King Road intersection.

Our first stop was for one night at Crossroads Travel Park in Perry GA. The reason we chose this park was because 1) it was right off Interstate 75, 2) had pull-through sites and 3) would give us a Passport America price of $25 for a one-night full-hookup (FHU) site. Among the most popular is Amish Acres, a historical site almost a mile from the center of the city. This farm of 80 acres was built in 1874. Another must-see spot is the Borkholder's Dutch Village. My wife and I stayed there over the past weekend. Dennis and Diane are great hosts. The room exceeded our expectations and the home was very nice. They are close to anything that you would like to do as well. If you are in Nappanee and need a place to stay I would highly recommend making a reservation at The Homespun Country Inn.

Daughters first job
My wife and I took our daughter Olivia to Nappanee (round barn theatre) for her first job as an actress for the Amish Acres resort. We stayed with Dianne and Dennis at their beautiful home. Everything was excellent. Dianne was a great sourse of information about the community and was very generous with her time. Could not have been better. Thanks.
